Executive Coaching
Executive Presence
Human beings are wired to make snap judgments about each other in a fraction of a second. This means that before you reach out to shake someone’s hand, say your first word into the mic, or take your seat at the table, up to 10 trillion chemical reactions have been processed in your audience’s subconscious brain, creating a filter through which they see you. Executive presence is an umbrella phrase that describes everything from a professional’s persona and communication style to their ability to hold their own in a large meeting. In fact, it is all of these things and more. While the quality of your work plays a vital role in how you are perceived inside and outside your organization, so do the intangibles: How you carry yourself, your listening skills, your speaking style, the way you handle challenging situations, and your ability to inspire confidence. All of these factors leave a lasting impression that is indelibly woven into the fabric of your professional relationships and career trajectory. This training will help elevate your executive persona in the following areas: ∙Gaining the confidence of those around you ∙Carrying yourself with poise and gravitas ∙Motivational skills ∙Ability to unite a team around a mission and core values ∙Navigating difficult or tense situations ∙Greater presence and charisma in meetings and/or onstage ∙Highlighting your best qualities while remaining authentic to who you are ∙Improving negative relationship dynamics ∙Etiquette for leaders ∙Personal styling and wardrobe (if applicable)
Persuasive Speaking
To persuade an audience, the vast majority of speakers rely on the wrong thing: logic. While building your case in a clear, value-added manner is important, it’s only half the story. Neuroscience has unequivocally proven that all decisions are also made in the emotion centers of the subconscious brain. So, trying to influence someone’s reactions or decisions without taking that into account is like trying to drive a car with only one gear. It could be dangerous to your cause. This training looks at both the conscious and subconscious drivers of decision-making; how your listeners are likely to process your information and how they are likely to respond. In addition to features, benefits, and other traditional ways of building your case, you will learn to speak to the audience questions, concerns and needs that dwell beneath the surface and address what truly drives the way they think, feel, and act. This exponentially increases your ability to inform, share your story, build bridges, and call people to action. You will learn: ∙How to build trust quickly in a new relationship while you build your case ∙7 decision-drivers in the subconscious brain ∙The surprisingly important role of pleasure and fear in decision-making ∙How the senses influence decisions and how to use them to your advantage ∙The 4 stages of audience information processing ∙Specific words and phrases that help you create the impact you desire ∙The 5 questions of the audience brain which must all be answered in a successful presentation ∙Case studies and specific examples of all of the above ∙The persuasion mindset—the right amount of passion without hard selling or anxiety
Building Your Brand
Your personal brand is how people see you, think of you, feel about you and make decisions that could impact your future. Whether you are an executive up for promotion, an entrepreneur, social media personality, or a public figure, your personal brand helps determine how you are able to fulfill your goals and ambitions. There are five Archetypes of an Effective Leader™. Each archetype represents different aspects of your abilities and has its own value and purpose. Each archetype calls forth its own unique set of responses from the people around you. While the most respected leaders display all the archetypes in abundance, most people primarily rely on just one or two. The good news is, while it’s human nature to lean toward just a few of the archetypes, we all possess every one of them. In the Personal Branding Program, you will identify the primary archetypes you’ve been displaying to the world around you and gain the ability to draw on each archetype at will to make the biggest difference in the situation at hand. Using this model and other proven techniques, this program helps identify your current brand through an in-depth exploration. We also create the brand you choose. You will be given strategies and techniques to authentically portray yourself in the manner you desire, in large and small settings. This happens on multiple levels: ∙Messaging strategy (for all types of communication) ∙Communication technique ∙Specific words and phrases to deliver your brand ∙Responses to questions and other interactions ∙Highlighting your accomplishments in a graceful manner ∙Addressing concerns and challenges ∙Body language and vocal techniques ∙Styling and wardrobe (if needed)
