EXECUTIVE PRESENCE
Human beings are wired to make snap judgements about each other in a fraction of a second. This means that before you say your first word into the mic, before you reach out to shake someone’s hand, before you answer your first question on-camera, up to 10 trillion chemical reactions have been processed in your audience’s subconscious brain.

Executive presence is an umbrella phrase which people use to describe everything from a professional’s persona, to their communication style, to their ability to hold their own in a large meeting. In fact, it is part of all of these things, and more.

While the quality of your work plays an important role in the way you are perceived inside and outside your organization, so do the intangibles. How you carry yourself, your listening skills, your speaking style, the way you handle challenging situations and your ability to inspire confidence, all leave a lasting impression that is indelibly woven into the fabric of your professional relationships, as well as your career trajectory.

This training will help elevate your executive persona in the following areas:
Gaining the confidence of those around you
Carrying yourself with poise and gravitas
Motivational skills
Ability to unite a team around a mission and core values
Navigating difficult or tense situations
Greater presence and charisma in meetings and/or onstage
Highlighting your best qualities while remaining authentic to who you are
Improving negative relationship dynamics
Etiquette for leaders
Personal styling and wardrobe (if applicable)

Heading 6
PERSUASION & DECISION-MAKING
To persuade an audience, the vast majority of speakers rely on the wrong thing: logic. While building your case in a clear, value-added manner is important, it is less than half the story. Neuroscience has unequivocally proven that decisions are mostly made in the subconscious brain; and trying to influence someone’s thinking, perception, reactions or decisions without taking that into account is like trying to drive a car with only 2 gears. It could be dangerous to your cause.

This course looks at the conscious and subconscious drivers to decision-making; how your listeners are likely to process your information and how they are likely to respond. In addition to value-add, benefits, features, pros and cons, and all the other traditional ways of building your case, you will learn to speak to the questions, concerns and needs of your audience beneath the surface and address what truly drives the way they think, feel and act. This exponentially increases your ability to inform, share your story, build bridges and call people to action.

You will learn:
How to build trust quickly in a new relationship, while you build your case
7 decision drivers in the subconscious brain
The surprisingly important role of pleasure and fear in decision-making
The role of visuals, sound and even fragrance
The 4 Stages of Information Processing
Specific words and phrases that help you create the impact you desire
The 5 Questions of the Audience Brain, which must all be answered in a successful presentation
Case studies and specific examples of all of the above
PERSONAL BRANDING
Your personal brand is how people see you, think of you, feel about you and make decisions that could impact your future. Whether you are a corporate executive up for promotion, an entrepreneur, social media personality or a public figure, your personal brand helps determine how you are able to fulfill on your goals and ambitions.

There are five Archetypes of an Effective Leader™. Each Archetype represents different aspects of your abilities and has its own value and purpose. Each Archetype calls forth its own unique set of responses from the people around you. While the most respected leaders display all the Archetypes in abundance, most people primarily rely only on one or two of them. The good news is, while it’s human nature to lean toward just a few of the Archetypes, we all possess every one of them. In the Personal Branding Program, you will identify the primary Archetypes you’ve been displaying to the world around you and gain the ability to draw on each Archetype at will, to make the biggest difference in the situation at hand.

Using this model and other proven techniques, this program helps identify your current brand through an in-depth exploration of your core strengths and other qualities and the way they are likely to be perceived by people - both consciously and subconsciously. We also create the brand you choose by asking how you’d like to be perceived and affect your environment. Based on this, you will be given strategies and techniques to authentically convey yourself in the manner you desire, in large and small settings, alike. This happens on multiple levels:
Messaging strategy (for all types of communication)
Specific words and phrases to deliver your brand
Responses to questions and other interactions
Highlighting your accomplishments in a graceful manner
Addressing concerns and challenges
Body language and vocal techniques
Wardrobe (if needed)
DIFFUSING TENSE SITUATIONS
In today’s workplace it’s impossible to completely avoid tension between colleagues in an organization. Urgent tasks, pressure and digital communication often lead to misunderstandings, feelings of disrespect and resentment. In addition, the volatility of the world around us more quickly activates peoples’ fight or flight response in the deepest primal regions of the brain, raising our guards and making us more likely to experience heightened fear and anxiety...and react accordingly.

While occasional tension in the workplace is quite natural and understandable, at heightened levels it contributes to high turnover, increased sick days, lower productivity and plummeting morale. This environment is conducive to more mistakes and slower reactions in times of crisis. It can also prove to be an obstacle in acquiring top talent.

Our methods include confidential private conversations with all actors involved, as well as expertly facilitated group discussions, as needed. In these meetings, proven techniques are applied for diffusing tension in relationships, departments and throughout an organization. These techniques include mediation, empathy skills, rebuilding trust, stress reduction and improving communication structures and flow. Participants also learn to identify and fix communication breakdowns before they exacerbate, thus guarding against reoccurrences in the future.
MENTORING MEN, MENTORING WOMEN
Please note: Due to high demand, we recommend you book this program approximately 2 months in advance.

An all-time favorite, variations of this program are now being considered a prerequisite for all employees in some organizations. As the #MeToo and #Time’sUp movements continue to expand and grow, workplace equality is no longer just a value to strive for, it has become a life sustaining necessity for organizations. While the results of these movements hold great promise, there are also many questions and areas in which men, women, top executives and HR professionals feel increasingly confused - and vulnerable.

While there are never any excuses for inappropriate behavior in the workplace, there are certain techniques that can help prevent it before it starts, or nip it in the bud as it is just beginning. It starts with clear communication and insightful listening. This program can address any or all of the following audiences and concerns:

Male professionals: What activities and discussions might make women uncomfortable without your knowledge? How does this work, and why would it make women uncomfortable when it would not bother most men if the roles were reversed? Specific words and phrases that help convey respect and appropriate intentions towards women colleagues; fundamental differences between male and female communication.
Women professionals: What are some simple, easy ways to voice your discomfort to a male colleague without creating discord or putting your job at risk? How to get over fear or hesitancy of speaking up; specific words and phrases to prevent inappropriate behavior and/or to stop it if it begins; body language and gestures to set your boundaries without appearing confrontational; fundamental differences between male and female communication.
Leaders and HR professionals: How to spot situations where women feel uncomfortable and the right questions to ask. Techniques for mentoring both women and men to understand the needs of each other in communication.

MOTIVATING A TEAM
When you set a direction as a leader, what makes some people embrace it, while some people don’t? What makes one person “get it”, while another shuts down or becomes complacent? Motivation is far more complex than the typical stick and carrot paradigm. The type of acknowledgement and appreciation currently used by most executives are crucial elements to motivating a team, but aren’t enough by themselves.

Based on years of behavioral science and neuroscience research, as well as real-world results, this training shows you exactly what makes people care more, do more, forgive mistakes and go the extra mile. It provides insights into what truly drives people to be and do their best; and gives you actionable words, phrases and techniques to draw out the best in your team, create sustained enthusiasm and call people to effective action.
INTERVIEW PREP
When going through a transition, whether it’s being promoted to partner in your organization, or seeking opportunities elsewhere, one of the most daunting aspects can be the interview process. Many executives wonder how to distill all their years of experience into 60 minutes or less, how to handle questions about their past experience, and how to distinguish themselves from the competition.

This coaching takes you through a variety of interview scenarios, using feedback and tips directly from CEOs, HR Directors and other hiring decision-makers in various industries. You will rehearse interviews and gain crucial experience so the process is no longer new or scary to you. You will identify weak spots in your presentation, fortifying yourself with greater skill in those areas. And you will learn to leverage your strengths and accomplishments by crafting optimal language and messaging to discuss them.

You will also learn to answer difficult questions effectively and with poise, after which you will pivot back to your main messaging points. This coaching gives you more confidence and appeal, helping you make a more positive and lasting impression.
